Get Your Scrolls Soon

If you’re a fan of the highly successful game Minecraft, you might be interested to know that the creator of that series is creating an entirely different and new game called Scrolls. It’ll be a strategy based card game in which you will build decks and battle it out with your friends online as either a competitive match or just an easy going friendly duel. The benefit of online card games is that you will actually get to see the battle take place and makes the matches more entertaining to watch and play. You’ll have an extensive library of cards available to you and you can even trade your cards to your friends. I’m not sure how you’ll have unique card sets, but I imagine it won’t be easy to get every card in the game. Check out the How-To-Play-Scrolls-Guide that they put together for those beginning players too.

Mojang, the developer, is releasing an open beta on June 3rd for everyone to test out the game for free and help assist in the game development process. I just hope that their servers are ready for the potential flood of excited players, because there are millions of people who own Minecraft and will be eager to check out what they have to offer next. Now they’re also doing a similar process with Scrolls as they did with Minecraft with selling the game early for those who want it and at a discounted price. While it won’t be the retail version at that moment, they can still play through the beta and just have the game whenever it is “finished”. The early price will be available worldwide for £13/€15/$20 on PC and Mac on the same day as the open beta.
